Installation

1. Insert the installation DVD in the DVD ROM Drive
2.  Double click on the ‘Install Dg Foto Art Gold.app’ file and begin the installation setup. This installation is a 6 step process
3. The “Install Dg Foto Art Gold” window opens up

Step-1: Readme

1. The First Screen will display the Readme File, which details the features of Dg Foto Art Gold
2. Click the ‘Continue’ button to proceed to the next step

Step-2: License

1. The End User License Agreement opens up
2.  Click on the ‘Continue’ button again
3.  You will be prompted here to ‘Agree’ or ‘Disagree’ the agreement
4.  Clicking on the ‘Agree’ Button, qualifies you for proceeding with the installation

Step-3: Select Destinatio

1. The Next screen (‘Select Destination’) allows you to select a destination path for installing the application.
2. The default path of installation is ‘Applications’. Click the ‘Continue’ button to install at the default path
3. You can also choose a different location for installation by selecting another disk.
4. You may also select a specific folder within the disk by clicking the ‘Select Folder’  button
5. Depending on your selection, a folder named ‘Dg Foto Art Gold’ will be automatically created
6. Click the ‘Continue’ button to move on the next step

Step-4: Installation Type

You can choose from two types of Installation viz:

1. Easy Install
   Installs all components of Dg Foto Art and 140 basic templates automatically
   This requires approximately 6.73 GB of disk space

2. Custom Install
   

   Prompts you to select required templates categories for installation in addition to the basic installation of Dg Foto Art Gold application This requires approximately 7.73 GB of disk space 

Step-5: Installing

1. After selecting the appropriate option of installation, click the ‘Continue’ button to begin the installation
2. The files get installed one by one on to your hard disk
3. The progress of installation is shown with the help of a ‘Progress Bar’
4. While the installation is ON, you may also read the billboards to get acquainted with the features of Dg Foto Art Gold
5. Once the installation is completed, you will be prompted to move on to the ‘Finish Up’ Step

Step-6: Finish Up

1. Here in this step a message of successful installation is displayed
2. You may choose to click the ‘Quit’ button here to exit the installation screens

1. Yes you can certainly create a slide show file which is an .app file.
2. You can also create a .mov file which can be played in DVD players.
3. You can also play the .mov file on a windows platform, to play the .mov file on a windows platform you need to install Quick Time player on your windows platform.

There are no updates for Dg Foto Art-Gold Mac at present. However we will be releasing updates in future when there is a need for the update and we will be informing you through our newsletters.

1. Open Dg Foto Art - Gold Mac
2. Now click on 'Dg Foto Art Gold menu and then select 'About Dg Foto Art Gold’.
3. A window named 'About Dg Foto Art' will open.
4. Please click on the ‘computer’ icon at the bottom of this window
5. A 'Report Generated Successfully' window opens up and shows the information about the OS, Processor, RAM, Virtual Memory and free disk space.
6. Along with the 'Report Generated Successfully' window, a window with the name of your computer opens up.
7. In this window, click on the 'File' Menu and then select 'Save'.
8. Type in the name, select the file type as System Profiler (XML).
9. Please select the path where you want to save the file and then click on ‘Save’ button.
10. Now Ctrl+Click on the Dg Foto Art - Gold icon on the dock and then select 'Show in Finder'.
11. Here find the file named 'Dg Foto Art.rpt’, now Ctrl+ click on ‘Dg Foto Art.rpt’ file and then select ‘Copy’.
12. Now Ctrl+Click on your desktop and then select ‘Paste’.

Suppose an album named 'Album1' and you have saved this album in the 'Projects' folder which is inside Dg Foto Art Gold folder and that it is corrupted and you are not able to open the album in Dg Foto Art - Gold Mac. You need to follow the following steps to recover the album.

1. Open Dg Foto Art - Gold MAC, now Ctrl+Click on the Dg Foto Art - Gold icon on the dock and then click 'Show in Finder'.
2. Now double click on the 'Projects' folder.
3. There will be one file named 'Album1.xlb' and a folder with the same name i.e Album1.
4. Double click on the Album1 folder and see the last .xbi file name.
5. Suppose the last .xbi file name is 'Page010.xbi'.
6. Now open Dg Foto Art - Gold, create a new album and suppose the album name is 'Album2'.
7. Now insert 10 blank pages by clicking the 'Add Blank Page' button at the bottom of the Template Gallery, since the last page name of 'Album1' was 'Page010'.
8. Now again Ctrl+Click on the Dg Foto Art - Gold icon on the dock and then click 'Show In Finder' and then double click on the 'Projects' folder.

9. Now close Dg Foto Art - Gold, if it is open.

10. Double click on the 'Album1' folder, click on the 'Edit' menu and click 'Select All'.
11. Now click on the 'Edit' menu and click 'Copy'.
12. Click on the 'Back' button and then double click on 'Album2' folder.
13. Now click on the 'Edit' menu and then click on 'Paste', a small 'Copy' window will open.
14. In the 'Copy' window select 'Apply to all' and then click 'Replace'.
15. Now close all the windows and then open Dg Foto Art - Gold.
16. Now click on 'File' menu, click on 'Open Album Project', now select the album which you want to open and then click on 'OK' button.

You will find that the pages which were there in 'Album1' are now there in 'Album2'. In this way you can recover the albums in Dg Foto Art - Gold Mac if the albums are corrupted.

1. Click on the 'System Preference' icon on the desktop and then click on 'Display'.
2. Now select the resolution as '1024 x 768 and then close the window.
3. Now open Dg Foto Art - Gold Mac.
4. The application will work fine with the change in the screen resolution.

You can create slideshow in Dg Foto Art - Gold Mac.

To create slideshow files in Dg Foto Art - Gold Mac, please follow the following steps.

1. Open Dg Foto Art - Gold, now open the album by clicking the 'File' menu and then 'Open Album / Project'
2. Now select the album which you want to open and then click on 'OK' button.
3. Now click on 'File' then 'Slide Show' and then click 'Generate Slide Show'
4. A window named 'Generate Slide Show' will open. Now select the file format in which you want to save.
   *The slideshow can be created in a .app file format or in a .mov file format.
   *The .app file is the application file which can be opened in Mac, even though if the customer is not having Dg Foto Art  installed on his system.
   

   *The .mov file can be opened in Mac as well as in a Windows Platform, even though if the customer is not having Dg Foto  Art installed on his system. To play the .mov file on a windows platform you need to install Quick Time player on your  windows platform.

5. Type in the Reference name and also select the path where you want to save the file.
6. You can also add an Audio file, Cover page, Thank you page and Client URL to your slideshow.
7. You can also add watermark to your slideshow by check marking the 'Water Mark' option in this window.
8. Once you have finished entering all the details, click the ‘Start Generating Slides' button.
9. A confirmation window will come up and ask you whether you want to run the slide show, click 'Yes' to run the Slide Show and 'No' to return to the previous window.
10. The slide Show file is so small that you can send the Slide Show file to your customers as an attachment through an email.

1. Open Dg Foto Art
2. Open any album, Click on ‘Dg Foto Art - Gold' Menu and select ‘Preferences’
3. In Preferences window, from dropdown menu select ‘Print Margin’.
4. Now reduce the print margins to zero.
5. Click on ‘Ok’ button.
6. Now try to print the image.
